Last Updated on 21 July 2024 | Today we will tell you about Satlok ― our real home. You may not even have heard or read about it because our religious gurus have been befooling us even though they aren’t aware of it. We became literate but we were not allowed to have spiritual knowledge by these religious gurus.
Ek kaal (samay) jab aavai bhaee, Sabai srshti lok sidhaee ।।
Meaning: A period when five thousand five hundred and five years of Kali Yuga will pass, then the whole world will go back to Satlok. Till now, we had only heard that after death a person goes to heaven and hell based on their karma. After spending their good karma in heaven, and bad karma in hell, they keeps taking birth and dying in eighty-four lakh life forms (yoni). After enduring eighty-four lakh life forms, then once again the opportunity of human birth arrives.
Unfortunately, we did not find any enlightened guru yet, who would impart true spiritual knowledge with the help of religious texts like Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Vedas, Puranas, Shastras etc. With the mercy of God, to remove our ignorance, God Himself descended on earth from His home Satlok, as an enlightened (Tatvadarshi) saint to give us true spiritual knowledge. With this true spiritual knowledge, humankind will undertake true devotion and will be saved from going to heaven and hell i.e. humankind will attain salvation and return to Satlok.
In this article, we will tell you that there is a supreme place apart from heaven and hell which is called Satlok.
What Are Heaven and Hell?
We all know heaven is a place where we believe everyone goes post-death if one has good karmic deeds similarly one will endure hell if karmic deeds aren’t good i.e. one has accumulated sins.
Think of heaven as a hotel. Just like a wealthy person visits cold places/cities like Shimla or Kullu Manali in the summer season and stays in a hotel. Where they bears the expenses of room charges and food. After spending a few thousand rupees in a few days, they has to return to their home. Then they works hard for ten to eleven months and collects money. If the earnings are not good in any year, then summer vacations will have to be spent at home.
A soul going to hell is tormented by the angels of Yam (the god of death). For example, a person who drinks even a sip of alcohol in human birth is made to drink urine in hell. The information about the punishment for many sinful acts is written in the Garuda Purana. One should read it while living. One should not wish for heaven and hell even in dreams.
Know heaven as a hotel to spend virtue and hell as a well to endure suffering. After doing spiritual practice on this earth, one goes to the hotel of heaven for some time. After spending one’s virtuous earnings, one has to go back to hell and then suffer in the bodies of eighty-four lakh beings based on one’s sinful deeds.
What is Satlok, where is it, who lives there, how to reach there, what is the method of going there?
Information About Satlok
Supreme Almighty KavirDev (God Kabir) created the three lower worlds (Agamalok, Alakh Lok, Satlok) with word power.
KavirDev (Supreme Almighty Kabir) appeared in the form of Satpurush in Satlok and first made other creations in Satlok.
The Supreme Almighty appeared in Satlok and He is also the ruler of Satlok. That is why His metaphorical (title) name is Satpurush (The Eternal Lord). The names of this Supreme Almighty are Akalmurti – Shabd swarupi Ram – Purna Brahm – Param Akshar Brahm etc. The body of this Satpurush KavirDev (Supreme Almighty Kabir) appears like humans and is effulgent. The light of one pore of His body is more than the aggregated light of millions of suns and the same number of moons.
Sixteen islands were created from one word (Vachan). Then from sixteen words, sixteen sons were born. He created a Mansarovar which was filled with nectar. The names of sixteen sons are:-
(1) ‘‘Kurm’’, (2)‘‘Gyani’’, (3) ‘‘Vivek’’, (4) ‘‘Tej’’, (5) ‘‘Sahaj’’, (6) ‘‘Santosh’’, (7)‘‘Surati’’, (8) ‘‘Aanand’’, (9) ‘‘Kshma’’, (10) ‘‘Nishkaam’’, (11) ‘‘Jalarangi’’ (12)‘‘Achint’’, (13) ‘‘Prem’’, (14) ‘‘Dayaal’’, (15) ‘‘Dhairya’’ (16) ‘‘Yog Santayan’’ alias ‘‘Yogjit‘‘.
Creation of Satyalok (Satlok)
Supreme Almighty KavirDev entrusted His son Achint with other creation-related works of Satyalok and granted him power. Achint created Akshar Purush (ParBrahm) with his word power and asked Akshar Purush to help him. Akshar Purush went to Mansarovar to take a bath, which he enjoyed and fell asleep. He didn’t come out for a long time. Then on the request of Achint, to awaken Akshar Purush from sleep, KavirDev (Supreme Almighty Kabir) made an egg by taking some nectar water from the same Mansarovar and a soul was made to enter that egg. The egg was released into the nectar water of Mansarovar.
Origin of Kaal
The sound of the egg disturbed the sleep of Akshar Purush. He looked at the egg with anger, due to which the egg split in two. From it came Jyoti Niranjan (Kshar Purush) who later came to be known as ‘Kaal’. His real name is “Kael”. Then Satpurush KavirDev said through an ether announcement that “both of you may come out and reside in the island of Achint”. After getting the permission, both Akshar Purush and Kshar Purush (Kael) started living in the island of Achint (Almighty showed them their inefficiency so that they should not yearn for the lordship and taught them lesson that without the Supreme Power, no work can be successful) Then the Supreme Almighty KavirDev Himself created everything.
He created a Rajeshwari (Rashtri) Shakti with His word power, by which all the universes were established. This power is also called Parashakti Paranandani. The Supreme Almighty (Purna Brahm) created all the souls from within Himself in His image; in human form by the power of His word. The body of each pious soul was created like the divine, whose effulgence is similar to that of the 16 (sixteen) suns. But the light of one hair follicle in the body of God is more than that of millions of suns. (to know more, must read the book Gyan Ganga)
Distance of Satlok From Earth
It is said that Satlok is a place where there is only happiness and there is no dearth of anything. There is evidence in the writings of saints that Satlok is situated at a distance of about 16 sankh kos = 4800 quadrillion k.m.from the earth. To go there we have to submit our spiritual earnings to the gods and goddesses, Brahm/Kaal (Satan) and Parbrahm. Satlok is reached by crossing the realms of Kaal Niranjan (Satan) and Akshar Brahm. Satlok is the highest of all the worlds, after going there, a person never comes in birth and death. The eternal place Satlok is called “Sanatan Paramdham” in Srimad Bhagavad Gita and “Ritdham” in Rigveda Mandal 9 Sukta 96 Mantra 20.
What Is Satlok and How Does It Look Like?
Satlok is the abode of God Kabir and where all beings are immortal. There is no birth and death in Satlok. There is no sun and moon in Satlok and neither is that world perishable. The soil there is white and shiny. The water and other food items there never get spoiled. There are trees laden with fruits, whose fruit is so sweet and it is difficult to find an example of it on the earth. Rivers of milk flow in Satlok and the mountains are studded with diamonds and pearls. The pious souls there possess palaces and planes.
Do Men and Women Live in Harmony in Satyalok?
Unlike earth, there is no outcry in Satlok. The men and women of that place live with great love. The men there live very lovingly with their wives and do not look at someone else’s woman with lust. The beings there never speak in an abusive language with anyone and do not behave indecently. The effulgence of their body is equivalent to the aggregated light of 16 suns.
What Do the Bodies of Those Who Live in Satlok Look Like?
In Satlok, everyone (female and male) has an immortal body. At Mansarovar, the effulgence of the bodies of men and women is equivalent to the brightness of four suns. But in the immortal world, the effulgence of the body of every man and woman is equal to the light of 16 suns. The Supreme Almighty (Satpurush) also has an immortal body.
What Does the Body of God in Satlok Look Like?
The light of a hair follicle of the body of the Supreme Lord is brighter than the light of ten million suns and ten million moons added together. God resides in the “Amar lok”
Who Lives in Satlok?
Human beings living in Satlok are called Hans (pious souls), the effulgence of their body is as much as 16 suns. There too, the creation is in the form of male and female. There is no paucity of anything in Satlok. Lust, anger, greed, attachment, ego and the three Gunas do not make a living entity unhappy there. There is no sorrow of any kind in Satlok, that is why it is also called a place of eternal happiness. Every living being has its palace and a plane there and that too is very beautiful and studded with diamonds and emeralds. There the body does not depend on the breath. The beings over there are immortal.
What Is the Nature of the Pious Beings of Satlok?
You will go to Satlok only by practicing true worship (Satbhakti). Everyone has gone to Satlok with the help of Satnam (mantra) and Sarnam. In Satlok, beings eat nectar fruits for food. The beings who have been famished for ages in Satan’s world are satiated in Satlok. All souls, i.e. both men and women, drink Sudha i.e. nectar.
The thirst of beings who are stuck here for ages ends in Satlok. Women and men always remain young. Women there are dear to their husbands more than their lives. The men of Satlok look upon all the women with respect, not with lust. No one speaks harsh words, sarcastic words or abusive language.
Everyone lives in a sweet sense of love with their beloved queens i.e. wives. The beauty of those women is very attractive to the mind. All the women (Kamini) are pious souls, that is, holy souls. Their complexion remains flawless, that is, their youth remains forever. The women there do not grow old, nor do the men. They always remain young.
Where Is the Evidence Written About Satlok?
Supreme Almighty Kabir Saheb had taken Swami Ramanand Ji, Sant Dharam Das Ji, Sant Garibdas Ji, Sant Dadu Ji and Sant Nanak Dev Ji to Satlok and brought them back on earth after introducing them with Himself. Then everyone sang the glory of the Supreme Almighty.
The description of Satlok is on page 191 of the 25th chapter “Amar Mool” in Kabir Sagar. Here Satlok is described in detail.
In Srimad Bhagavad Gita chapter (Adhyay) 15 verse 4, chapter 18 verse 62, the giver of the knowledge of Srimad Bhagavad Gita says ― Go in the refuge of that Supreme God, by whose grace you will go to the supreme peace and the eternal supreme abode, Satlok. After going there, the cycle of birth and death of the seeker ends forever. God Kabir had also taken Nanak Sahib to Satlok and gave him the true spiritual knowledge, after seeing everything he said:-
Phaahee surat malookee ves| Uh Thagavaada thagee des||
Khara siaanaan bahuta bhaar| Dhaanak roop raha Karataar||
Main keeta na jaata haraamakhor| Uh kia muh desa dusht chor||
Naanak neech kah bichaar| Dhaanak roop raha Karataar||
Evidence:- Raag “Siri” Mahla of Sri Guru Granth Sahib 1 page no. 24 at verse no. 29
In Mahala 1 on page 731, it is stated that:-
Andhula neech jaati Paradeshee mera khin aavai til jaavai|
Taakee sangat naanak rahanda kiu kar mooda paavai||(4/2/9)
On pages 280, 281 of Bhai Bale Janam Sakhi, Shri Nanak Dev Ji has said that when I took a dip in the Bei river at that time, Guru Kabir Saheb met in the guise of Baba Zinda. I stayed with Him for three days. That Baba is as powerful as the Zinda God. The proof of Satlok can also be found in the speech of Garibdas Ji when Supreme Almighty Kabir Saheb met him in the form of a Zinda sage and took him to Satlok. He has said in his speech:-
Aadi ramainnee adalee saara| Ja din hote dhundhunkaara||
Satapurush keenha prakaasha| Ham hote takhat Kabeer khavaasa||
How Can We Go to Satlok?
One can go to Satlok only by taking refuge of an enlightened saint and by practicing the method of worship given by Him.
In Srimad Bhagavad Gita chapter 15 verses 1 to 4 is evidence that a saint who will explain all the parts of the inversely hanging world tree will be the enlightened saint in the true sense.
Kabir Saheb had told Dharmadas that― My representative saint would tell about the true way of worship (Satbhakti) but all the saints and mahants would quarrel with him. That would be the hallmark of the true saint.
Jo Mam sant sat upadesh drdhaavai (bataavai), Vaake sang sab raad badhaavai|
Ya sab sant mahantan kee karanee, Dharmadas Main to se varnee||
Identity of the True Saint in Our Holy Books
It is written in Yajurveda chapter19 Mantras 25 and 26 that the one who will complete the incomplete sentences of the Vedas i.e. code words and one-fourth verses; will explain in detail and impart worship of three times i.e. worship of the Supreme God in the morning, worshiping the gods of the world in the afternoon and evening prayers (aarti) separately; He will be a benevolent saint of the world.
The description of an enlightened saint is given in Kabir Sagar Granth page no. 265 in Bodh Sagar, Srimad Bhagavad Gita chapter 15 verses 1 to 4 and can also be found in Samaveda no. 822. An enlightened saint gives Saar Naam in three stages. Then, He provides SaarShabad. This is the hallmark of that truly enlightened saint.
The Way to Reach Satlok
There is evidence of “Om, Tat, Sat” in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. In Srimad Bhagavad Gita, the giver of the knowledge of Gita says that there is evidence of three mantras to attain that Supreme God. The giver of the knowledge of Gita says that you should seek that truly enlightened saint and obtain these mantras from Him. Sri Guru Nanak Ji has said that the true Satguru is the one who knows about the chanting of two words.
Satguru Garibdas Ji also said in his speech that that truly enlightened saint would be fully acquainted with all the four Vedas, six scriptures, eighteen Puranas, etc. God Kabir Ji says-
Paanch hazaar aur paanch sau jab kaliyug beet jaay| Mahapurush pharamaan tab jag taaran ko aaye||
God’s word is that when the 5505 years of Kali Yuga will be completed, then I will send my representative saint on earth, who will give the knowledge of Satlok through true spiritual knowledge (Tatvgyan). At that time everyone on earth will be educated. Mankind will undertake devotion after taking initiation from the saint sent by Me with determination. One who will undertake true worship will come back to Satlok. (We came to earth to have fun with Jyoti Niranjan Kaal by deceiving God and are now suffering here.) We all are the residents of Satlok. That is our real home.
Only the True Saint Rampal Ji Can Lead Us to the Eternal Happiness
As long as the truly enlightened (Tatvdarshi) saint is not found, the sufferings of birth-death and heaven-hell and eighty-four lakh life forms will continue to exist. Because only Satnaam and Saarnaam of the Supreme Almighty destroy sins. Worshiping other Gods does not destroy sins. Everyone has to endure the results of their actions as is.
That is why it is said in Srimad Bhagavad Gita chapter 8 verse16 that all the worlds up to Brahmloka (Mahaswarga/great heaven) are perishable. When there will be no more heaven and great heaven, then where will the seeker go? ―please think. Watch the sermons of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Ji on the Sadhna channel from 7.30-8.30 pm and get true information about Satlok by acquiring true spiritual knowledge.
