In this era of modern technology, everyone is aware about Kabir Saheb and His contributions in the field of spiritualism. And every other religious sect (for example, Radha Saomi sect, Jai Gurudev Sect, etc) firmly believes in the sacred verses of Kabir Saheb and often uses them in their spiritual discourses as well. Kabir Das (God Kabir): Brief Introduction 

Kabir Das is someone who needs no introduction. Kabir Das is known for many things and contributions to society. He is renowned for Kabir ke dohe (couplets). Kabir Das poems is yet another name given to His couplets. Kabir Das books include Kabir Sagar, Kabir Beejak, Kabir Shabawali and many others. In His personal life, Kabir Das was not born to anyone, He appeared by Himself hence Kabir Das has no parent. Also Kabir Das didn’t have a wife. He was there in Kashi, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh from the year 1398 to 1518. Kabir Das age was of 120 years when He left for Satlok along with His body, only flowers were left behind. Kabir Saheb says: 

Maat-Pita mere kuch nahi, Na mere ghar daasi |

Julhe ka sut aan kahaya, Jagat kare meri hassi ||

How did God Kabir Get Famous as Kabir Das?

Kabir Saheb who is renowned as Kabir Das is known for His sacred verses which are acceptable throughout the globe. But have we ever thought about why His verses got so much popular amongst people? The answer is No. It is because of the truth He exposed from His sacred verses about the reality of life here. 

We all here are busy making money and attaining luxury in our lives. But Kabir Saheb took us above it by explaining to us the cycle of why we take birth and die and bear complications to become rich or poor in our lives. He explained to us the creation of the whole universe with His few verses. And to our surprise only God could do that but still He is renowned as only a saint, poet or satguru. Kabir Saheb says:

Akshar purush ek ped hai, Niranjan baki daar |

Teeno deva shakha hai, paat roop sansar ||

What was Kabir Das’ Philosophy?

The philosophy of Kabir was not only simple but it was crystal clear too. He always preached about the religion of humanity above any other religion. Kabir Saheb always criticized the methods of worship that are against our Holy Scriptures. By His sacred verses He enlightened the true path of worship and the power of truth. His sole aim was to unite people irrespective of religion so that they can worship one complete God to attain happiness and salvation. Kabir Saheb says: 

Hindu Muslim Sikh Isai, Apas mei sab bhai bhai |

Arya Jaini aur Bishnoi, ek prabhu ke bache soi ||

The philosophies and ideologies of Kabir Das (Saheb) are no less than a boon to devotees who always look to strengthen their soul to attain supreme happiness. It is because of our grave ignorance that we considered Him as a saint only. And we remained deprived of the true spiritual knowledge given by Him. Thus we failed to recognise Him but He is actually the Supreme God or the overall controller of the entire universe.

Who is the God of Kabir Das?

It is because of our misconception that we considered Kabir Saheb as a saint, we started asking mistakenly about His God too. Kabir Das (Kabir Saheb) is Himself the Almighty God who is nurturing everything everywhere. Kabir Saheb appeared by Himself in this Kalyug approximately 600 years ago and played the role of a Tatvdarshi Saint, an ideal devotee and soon came to be recognised as Kabir Das. But to keep the tradition of adopting a Guru He adopted Swami Ramanand Ji as His Guru as a formality by showing him His actual identity at first.

He Himself specifies that He is the Supreme God who has created all the universes.

Is Kabir Das a Hindu?

Kabir Saheb was neither a hindu nor a muslim. He always preached about a single complete God above any sort of religion and humanity as a religion above all. There are controversies about the religion of Kabir Saheb as He was taken up by a muslim couple on His appearance in Kashi, Varanasi named Neeru and Neema (who were originally Hindu).

So He was believed to be a muslim in His starting days. But as the time went by He proved through His divine acts that He is the Supreme God and does not belong to any religion. Instead He favoured humanity as a religion.

Kabir Das appeared by Himself in every yuga with different names and identities. In Kalyuga He appeared by the name of Kabir which is His actual name as well. While in other yugas He appeared by the name of SatSukrit (Satyuga), Muninder Rishi (TretaYuga), Karunamay (DwaparYuga).
