Origin of World Food Day
The World Food Day was established by FAO’s Member Countries at the Organization’s 20th General Conference in November 1979. It was former Hungarian Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Pal Romany who had given the idea of celebrating WFD all over the world. And after this, more than 150 counties started celebrating this day who were concerned about the food stability.

Events During the World Food Day: World Food Day Activities
World Food Day is celebrated to create global awareness among people. On this day, marathons, March pasts, and many other creative events are organised.
Consequences of Inadequacy of the Food
If a person is not eating the required amount of food then this is evident that he can become too energy less but along with that if one person is not able to eat good quantity and quality of food then he may suffer a list of diseases eg; anemia, beriberi, scurvy, and vitamins deficiency is most familiar cases with it.
Let There Be Bread for Everyone
There are basically two problems which are leading to the unavailability of food. First, the lack of resources, like if a person doesn’t have adequate money to possess the food. And second, some people are wasting food carelessly and some are starving for the same food.
It is really sad that somewhere, extra and easily available food is being wasted by someone, as well as there are people who die due to the lack of food supply to them.
Importance of the International World Food Day
It will not be wrong to say that, 2020 is a real pandora’s box and according to the higher authorities, it is speculated that amidst ‘ Corona’ the acute hunger is going to rise by 135 million to 265 million by the end of 2020. So in context with food security, this year is really worst.
Example of South Sudan to Understand the Need for Food
Well, a country like South Sudan gives us an idea of why food security is important. According to data, 4.9 million people needed food. Actually, half of the country’s populace is facing deadly hunger issues.
It was in 2017 when famine was declared in South Sudan and now it is 2020 when there is one another bad patch “Coronavirus pandemic” which is also troublesome and going to put an impact on people’s daily life and their food availability.
Many other countries like Nigeria, Somalia, Uganda, Yemen, Ethiopia, Kenya are also struggling with the issue of food security and availability.
So What Are We Required To Do?
Charity begins at home, and this is the vital truth that if we all are going to make changes at a mass from our homes then that time is not far when the outcome will be visible.
If we start conserving food, and we don’t waste it and make only that much food which is expected to be eaten then it may really help because 14 percent of total food is wasted out of 100. That food can be given to those who die because of lack of availability of food, just we need to manage the share and further we need to increase the production of food because the population of the world is rapidly increasing and it is also like a pressure on the producers to provide adequate food by 2050. WHO is concerned over how will they manage to provide food to the massive population because in today’s world the conditions are worst than ever before.
Who Can Fill Our Stomach in Every Situation?
Creation was done in only six days by the Supreme God. This is clearly evident in the Genesis 1:26 Holy Bible. God has given us plenty of food and water for everyone on the surface of this earth. Our greed for everything and our treacherous behavior towards God is the cause of our every problem.
Tulsi, birva baag mai, Sinchat hi murjhave|
