ICAI Postpones CA Exams: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially announced the postponement of the CA Final and Intermediate examinations scheduled for September 3 and 4, 2025 in select centres across Punjab and Jammu City. The decision comes in the wake of heavy rainfall and severe flooding that has disrupted normal life and created logistical challenges in conducting the exams.

The announcement, issued on September 2, 2025, modifies the earlier notification dated May 30, 2025. ICAI clarified that the postponement is location-specific and applies only to certain centres, while examinations in other parts of the country will continue as per the original schedule.

The following centres are covered under the postponement:

  • Amritsar
  • Bathinda
  • Jalandhar
  • Ludhiana
  • Mandi Gobindgarh
  • Pathankot
  • Patiala
  • Sangrur
  • Jammu City

The postponement was taken in view of incessant rainfall and flood conditions in parts of Punjab and Jammu:

  • Punjab is experiencing its worst floods since 1988, with 29 fatalities reported and more than 2.56 lakh people affected.
  • Floodwaters from the Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi rivers, along with seasonal rivulets, have inundated large areas.
  • In Jammu and Kashmir, heavy rainfall since August 14 has caused flash floods in districts including Kishtwar, Kathua, Reasi, and Ramban.
  • Record rainfall on August 26–27 led to flooding in several low-lying areas of Jammu.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the postponement of certain papers from the September 2025 exam cycle. The affected exams include CA Final Group 1, originally scheduled for September 3, and CA Intermediate Group 1, which was set for September 4.

Both papers are postponed in the affected centres. ICAI has further clarified that all other details, as mentioned in its earlier notification dated May 30, 2025, remain unchanged.

ICAI has not yet announced the revised dates for the postponed exams. The institute has confirmed that:

  • Updated schedules will be released in due course.
  • All updates will be published only on the official ICAI website (www.icai.org).

ICAI emphasized that this decision is limited to the mentioned centres. Examinations in other locations across India will continue as per the original timetable.

The postponement of the CA Final and Intermediate exams in Punjab and Jammu was taken as an urgent response to the severe flood situation in these regions. Candidates from the affected centres are advised to monitor the official ICAI portal regularly for revised dates. With all other exam details unchanged, ICAI will release the new schedule once the situation stabilizes, ensuring students can appear for their exams without further disruption.

The recent floods in Punjab and Jammu remind us that despite human planning and technological progress, the forces of nature remain beyond our control. Industrialization, greed, and the overuse of natural resources have led to an imbalance where nature is no longer respected as it should be. These imbalances often result in disasters that cause loss of life and property.

Tatvdarshi Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj teaches that true wisdom lies in understanding the supremacy of God, who alone controls creation. His followers, inspired by this unique knowledge, are actively serving in Punjab’s flood-affected areas, providing food, clean water, and essential supplies to the victims. This spirit of selfless service reflects the importance of aligning with divine knowledge and living in harmony with nature.
