In June 2013, the FAO Conference unanimously endorsed World Soil Day and requested that it be officially adopted at the 68th UN General Assembly.
World Soil Day Significance
Soil degradation, caused by soil salinization and modification, is a threat to the ecosystem and a global threat to agricultural production, food security, and sustainability. As a result, World Soil Day is critical for advocating for the long-term management of soil resources.
What if everyone becomes Vegetarian?
God created the universe with His word power. He created trees and plants in sufficient quantities on this earth so that Humans and Animals could be nourished. God also gave seeds and sufficient land to humans to do farming. There is no dearth of fertile land on this earth. Even if the whole world becomes vegetarian and depends on agriculture, there can be no shortage of food.
God Ordered Living Beings to Stay Vegetarian
In Holy Bible Genesis 1:29 and 1:30 God has ordered all the living beings including Animals, Birds and others to become vegetarian. God has given seed-bearing plants, trees and fruit yielding seeds to us, which shall be our food. God provided green herbs for everything that creeps on the earth.
■ Genesis 1:29
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
■ Genesis 1:30
And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
