Rishi is currently being seen as the most popular and capable politician in British politics.

Rishi Sunak was born on 12 May 1980 in Southampton, England. Rishi Sunak’s parents are of Indian origin. Rishi is the eldest brother of his three sisters. His grandparents immigrated to Britain in the 1960s.

Rishi Sunak was a promising student from the very beginning. He graduated in Political Science from Winchester College, UK.  He then studied economics and philosophy at Oxford University. He has also done MBA from Stanford University. While pursuing his MBA from Stanford, he met Akshata, the daughter of Narayana Murthy, co-founder of Infosys. Their friendship deepened, after which they decided to tie the knot in 2009. Rishi and Akshata gave birth to two daughters, whose names are Krishna and Anoushka.

Journey of Rishi and His Professional Beginning

Rishi Sunak became MP for the first time in 2014 from Richmond (Yorkes) in North Yorkshire. During the tenure of former British Prime Minister Theresa May, Rishi worked as a junior minister. His work was appreciated and in 2017 he again became an MP with an overwhelming majority. After this, in 2019 he was made Secretary of the Treasury of Britain. In a survey conducted in 2020, 60 percent of the people of Britain described Rishi as the most preferred candidate for the post of Prime Minister.

Important Things About Rishi Sunak:

  • Rishi Sunak is 42 years old and Boris Johnson selected him as the Finance Minister of Britain in February 2020.  This was his first full parliamentary term.
  • He is often seen with former Defense Minister Penny Mordant. During the coronavirus pandemic, Rishi earned a lot of popularity by giving a package of several billion pounds to the traders and the needy.
  • Rishi is also affectionately known as Dishi Rishi (“Dishy” Rishi), who was criticized for his wife’s non-domestic tax status. He has also been the target of critics for his American green card and his slow response to Britain’s cost-of-living crisis.

Who will be New Prime Minister of Britain?

After the resignation of Boris Johnson, many leaders are making their claim for the new Prime Minister’s post. After the elimination of two candidates in the elimination round, there are now a total of six people as the contenders for the post of PM. In addition to Sunak, Suella Braverman, Foreign Minister Liz Truss, Commerce Minister Penny Mordent, former cabinet minister Kemi Badenok and MP Tom Tugendat are included.

What is the Procedure to Select a Prime Minister in Britain?

In the second round of voting, 358 members of the British Parliament cast their vote through ballot paper. Rishi Sunak has been at the forefront of this race since the beginning, but he still faces the challenge of garnering the support of British MPs.

The process of nomination in the Conservative Party to find the new Prime Minister took place on Wednesday, in which voting was done by ballot paper. In Britain, the candidate who gets less than 30 votes is out of the race for PM. If all candidates get more than 30 votes, the candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated. Before voting, each candidate is given a speech time of 12 minutes, in which he has a chance to garner votes for himself. Attorney General Suella Braverman got 27 votes, due to which she is now out of this race.

Sunak and Penny Mordant are currently leading the race for the post of PM.  According to the timetable set by the 1922 committee of Tory backbenchers, by July 21 there would be only two candidates in the race.  Candidates will then have to prove their candidacy in front of 2 lakh Conservative Party members. The candidate who gets the most votes will become the Prime Minister of Britain. Britain will get a new prime minister on 5 September.

Boris Johnson Does not Want Rishi Sunak to Become Prime Minister

The battle for the Prime Minister’s Race in Britain is getting interesting. Indian-origin Rishi Sunak is maintaining a decent lead after two rounds but there are challenges in his way.  One challenge is Boris Johnson who does not want to see Rishi Sunak as Prime Minister. It is reported that Boris Johnson is ready to support any other candidate except Sunak.  On his behalf, other candidates are being asked not to support Sunak at any cost.  Now it is being said about this stand of Boris that he is considering the Rishi as the main reason behind his loss of power.

Boris Johnson believes that for the past few months, Rishi was trying to oust him from power.  It was because of Rishi that he had to resign from the post of Prime Minister.  One report even claimed that Boris Johnson does not hold Sajid Javed responsible for the loss of power. Boris Johnson is only considering Rishi Sunak responsible for his loss of power.  All his anger is towards Rishi.  He is more angry that Boris was ousted from power under a fixed strategy.  The big thing is that Boris Johnson is opposing Rishi Sunak, but he is also putting a lot of emphasis on making Foreign Secretary Liz Truss the PM.  His opposition to Rishi is so much that he seems ready to support Junior Trade Minister Penny Mordaunt at this time.

Common Belief of Human Life & the Reality

Until one gains the true spiritual knowledge, the belief of a common man is that: –

On growing up, after gaining education and finding a job, I will get married and look after my family. I will provide higher education to my children. Then they will get jobs. Then we will marry them off. God will grant kids to our children. Then our duty will be over. Whatever happens in one’s life is predetermined.  This desire arose due to lack of spiritual knowledge. God gives you whatever is in your fate. Nothing is happening as a result of your efforts.

Without Bhakti Humans are Like Stones

Whether you have children, big house, big bank balance and a good post (like Finance minister, PM, engineer, pilot, doctor etc) or not, all such facilities are based on the deeds of your previous lives.

Those who do not have this realization that without bhakti (True Worship) a living being has no respite, they are not humans; they are stones. Their intellect has been subdued. If one does bhakti, the power of God automatically inspires others and makes favourable circumstances for the devotee. That is why, saints urge to do bhakti. The way of life becomes good through Satsang.

Supreme God Kabir has stated that: –

Bin updesh achambh hai, kyon jivat hain praan |

Bhakti bina kahan thaur hai, ye nar naahin paashaan ||

Meaning: – God Kabir is saying that – O innocent man! I am surprised that with which hope you are living without taking initiation from a Guru. Even your body is not yours; you will have to abandon this as well when you will die. Then how can the wealth be yours?

Kabir, kaya teri hai nahin, maya kahan se hoye |

Bhakti kar dil paak se, jeevan hai din doye ||

Therefore, it is requested to everyone that please do Sadbhakti and make this life a success. Once you start doing bhakti things will turn positive and possible in all ways. And must read the book ‘Way of Living‘ to know the purpose of human life.
