Today, cancer took away another great actor Rishi Kapoor who was reportedly hospitalized in a hospital of Reliance foundation in Mumbai. He died at 67, he was the younger sibling, elder brother Randhir Kapoor confirmed the news with grief. He lived his last moments with wife Neetu Kapoor after a long fight with cancer in the hospital premises. He got diagnosed with cancer two years ago and stayed under observation for about a year in New York.

After which he returned to India, but his condition was crooked. He had to get hospitalized frequently after that. This February, he was admitted to a hospital on a quick succession in Delhi while he was on a visit. In 2018,

Rishi Kapoor has never been good at keeping patience, this is, “God’s way to teach patience.”

  • Our dear Rishi Kapoor passed away peacefully at 8:45 am in hospital today (April 30)
  • A two-year battle with leukemia
  • The doctors and medical staff … said he kept them entertained to the last
  • He remained jovial and determined to live to the fullest right through two years of treatment
  • Family, friends, food and films remained his focus
  • He did not let his illness get the better of him

Rishi’s personal life and achievement

He was the second son of well-known actor Raj Kapoor. His siblings Randhir Kapoor, Ritu Nanda, Reema Kapoor, and Rajiv Kapoor are very popular in the film industry. His wife actress Neetu Kapoor and son Ranbir Kapoor also have a great fan following. His daughter Riddhima to return to Mumbai from Delhi today. He made his debut in Bobby (1973) for which he also won a Filmfare award for best actor in 1974.

Some of his early works also include short roles in his father’s film Mera Naam joker before his debut as the lead actor in films including Do dooni chaar, karz and many others. He was honored with a National film award for his role in Mera Naam joker (1970), Filmfare lifetime achievement award in 2008, and many others.

He fought beautifully against the deadly disease which ultimately knocks down almost everyone who touches it. He took his last breath on Wednesday while getting treated for colon infection in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai. “I have surrendered, I believe” these were the few words from a note he wrote in 2018 while declaring a fight against Cancer. Film fraternity mourned after him by penning their condolences on Twitter. Fans also flooded the social media with RIP Irrfan posts and comments by showing their love and affection for him.

  • Irrfan was buried at the Versova kabristan in Mumbai at 3 pm (April 29)
  • Everyone paid their final respects and mourned the loss of his passing away.
  • We pray for his peace and we hope he is in a better place today.
  • He was strong in his fight, and we all have to be strong too in this loss.

Irrfan died incredibly young at 53. He has been remembered for his exceptional work. His prolific contributions to Bollywood as well as Hollywood are of the great marks for the world of cinema. His acting skills in Slumdog millionaire, Inferno, Life of Pie, and Jurassic Park is being remembered globally. He had a great fan following which makes it a great loss to the film industry and to the fans as well.

Biography: Irrfan Khan early life and success story

Khan was born in 1966, Jaipur in the family of a tire seller. He pursued as a cricketer in his early life but changed to acting after perceiving that he’s made for something else. He went to a drama school and learned professional acting skills which cultivated and developed him into what the world knows as actor Irrfan Khan. He struggled his way into the Bombay cinema by getting a tiny role as a letter writer in Salaam Bombay which was a successful film by Mira Nair in 1988. He was stuck in the television industry for a while just like many other superstars, and Then, finally cracked his maiden big role in a British film called “The warrior.”

His Bollywood debut as a supporting actor was in Haasil (2003) and Maqbool (2004). His other works include Life in a metro, Paan Singh Tomar, The lunchbox, Talvar, Piku, The amazing spiderman (2012), Hindi Medium, and many others. He was awarded the National film award for best actor in Paan Singh Tomar, IFFA award for best actor in Hindi Medium, Asian film award for best actor in Lunchbox, and many more. He was also honored with India’s fourth-highest civilian honor Padma Shri in 2011.
