The Haryana government has announced the Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, a landmark scheme to provide direct financial assistance of ₹2100 per month to eligible women above the age of 23. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched the scheme which will officially roll out on September 25, 2025, the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.

The scheme aims to financially strengthen women and ensure their active participation in the state’s development. According to CM Saini, women’s contribution is essential to the vision of a Developed India.

Budget and DBT System

A budget of ₹5000 crore has been allocated for the scheme. The amount will be credited directly into beneficiaries bank accounts through the DBT system to maintain transparency.

Eligibility Criteria

• Women aged 23 years and above
  
• Both married and unmarried women eligible
  
• Annual family income not exceeding ₹1 lakh
  
• Permanent residency of Haryana for at least 15 years
  
• Up to three women per family can avail benefits
  

Age and Special Rules

• Unmarried women eligible until age 45, after which they shift to Widow or Destitute Pension Scheme
  
• Married women eligible until age 60, after which they shift to Old Age Pension Scheme
  
• Women already receiving pensions are excluded, except those with Stage 3 or 4 cancer, hemophilia, thalassemia, sickle cell anemia, or other listed rare diseases
  

Application Process

The government will issue a gazette notification and launch a dedicated mobile app within a week. Eligible women will receive SMS notifications. Applications can be submitted online via the app. Panchayats and wards will display lists of eligible women for public review.
