Israel Coronavirus Vaccine News: Did IIBR develop the Antibody?
Israeli defense minister Naftali Bennett claims Israel Institute for Biological Research (IIBR) isolated key coronavirus “monoclonal neutralizing antibody” for treatment of the Covid-19 pandemic. It has the potential to neutralize the disease coronavirus inside carriers’ bodies. Please read Israel Coronavirus Vaccine News to know details of the “significant breakthrough”.

WHAT IS THE STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT?
As readers know that Israel is always a front runner in the development of technology. In the worldwide fight with coronavirus outbreak, Israeli defense minister Naftali Bennett has claimed on Monday that Israel Institute for Biological Research (IIBR) has developed an antibody. It has completed all aspects of the development of vaccines and is in the process of filing a patent. After completion of legal aspects of patent Israel will find an international manufacturer to commence commercial production of a vaccine.
- IIBR has developed the antibody
- Unique monoclonal neutralizing antibody
- IIBR filing a patent
- Israel to find an international manufacturer to commence commercial
WHAT IS THE PRINCIPLE OF NEW DEVELOPMENT?
It is on the principle that antibodies are key to developing cure by overcoming the coronavirus.
■ IIBR is specialist to counter
- biological threats intentional or natural
- forensic investigation of bioterror and pathogenesis and
- vaccine development
■ WHAT IS REPUTATION OF ISRAEL INSTITUTE FOR BIOLOGICAL RESEARCH (IIBR)?
IIBR was founded in 1952 as a governmental research institute in a small city of Ness Ziona. IIBR takes initiative in the field of biology, chemistry, and environmental sciences to provide a response to chemical and biological threats. IIBR is a specialist to counter biological threats intentional or natural, forensic investigation of bioterror and pathogenesis, and vaccine development.
IIBR scientists have a long history of contribution including the development of a vaccine for polio in 1959, kits for detection of explosive materials in 1980, a drug against Sjogren syndrome in 1984 that was one of four branded drugs marketed worldwide.
Milestones of IIBR Scientists
- Developed vaccine for polio in 1959
- Kit for detection of explosive materials in 1980
- Drug against Sjogren syndrome in 1984, marketed worldwide.
HOW ALL THIS DEVELOPMENT TOOK PLACE?
Earlier prime minister Netanyahu had instructed the Biological institute to produce a vaccine against coronavirus that has killed more than 200 people in Israel. More than 50 experienced scientists engaged in the design and development of vaccines and antibodies in response to coronavirus outbreak. It was the most knowledgeable experienced group with the best infrastructure.
Israel Coronavirus Vaccine News: The institute examined the potential of the C1 production platform for vaccine production and monoclonal antibodies. After few days Prof Shmuel Shapira, Director of Biological Research Institute updated the PM Benjamin Netanyahu about significant progress in pre-vaccination planning and preparation for a model for animal examination.
CAN SUMMER-WARMING KILL CORONAVIRUS IN HOURS?
Yes, researchers found that the coronavirus can survive for days at surfaces at lower temperatures. Whereas during summer-warming the coronavirus can survive for few hours on surfaces. Therefore, as the temperature increase, there will not be much need for broad disinfection of public space.
ISRAEL HAD CLOSED ITS BORDERS INCREDIBLY EARLY
It is to be noted that Israel is always in initiating preventive steps too. Israel closed its borders and restricted the moment of people to check the domestic coronavirus outbreak. Today Israel reports 16000 infected cases and 238 deaths whereas worldwide infection touches 4 million and deaths crossed 2,58,394 thousand marks. India crossed 49K total infection cases, 14k recovered with 1694 causalities.
