Bappi Lahiri Died On Tuesday at 69 

Indian film industry’s legendary singer and music composer Bappi Lahiri has left this world forever. The singer, who was 69 years old, was admitted to Mumbai’s Hospital on Tuesday, February 15, due to sudden deterioration of his health, but could not be saved even after several attempts.

Bappi Lahiri Passes Away: An official statement signed by his wife Chitrani Lahiri, Gobind Bansal, children Bappa Lahiri and Rema Lahiri announced that his funeral will take place on Thursday. The statement read, “It’s a deeply sad moment for us. The cremation will take place on the arrival of Bappa (his son) from Los Angeles tomorrow mid-morning.”

Juhu-based CritiCare hospital said in an official statement, Bappi Lahiri was suffering from OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) and recurrent chest infection. He was hospitalized for 29 days and was discharged on 15 February after recovery. His health again deteriorated after a day, and he was brought back to hospital in a critical state and succumbed to his illness. He suffered from Covid infection last year.
