GATE 2026 Photograph & Signature Requirements
Photograph Guidelines
- Size: Passport photo (3.5 × 4.5 cm) with white background.
- Face Coverage: 60–70% of the photo, full face visible (forehead, eyes, nose, chin).
- Format: JPEG/JPG | Resolution: 200×260 to 530×690 px | File Size: 5–600 kB.
- Restrictions: No caps, hats, sunglasses, or tinted glasses (normal specs allowed without glare).
- Head Covering: Allowed only for religious reasons, but facial features must be clear.
Note: Non-compliant photos will lead to application rejection.
Signature Guidelines
- Format: JPEG/JPG | Resolution: 250×80 to 580×180 px | File Size: 3–300 kB.
- Aspect Ratio (Height:Width): 1 : R (R between 2.75–3.75).
- Ink: Black or dark blue only.
- Coverage: Signature must occupy 70–80% of the image.
